80% of US Managers Expect Hiring Growth in 2025

The U.S. Job marketplace is poised for a promising 2025, as optimism among hiring managers stays robust. According to the latest survey with the aid of Express Employment Professionals and The Harris Poll, 84% of U.S. Hiring managers predict growth, with many ready to expand their workforce in the first half of the year.

Hiring Trends for 2025: What to Expect

Hiring predictions for early 2025 continue to be constant, with 63% of hiring managers planning to boost their group of workers. This consists of 19% who assume extensive growth and forty four% aiming for mild increases. Interestingly, this optimism mirrors 2024, whilst the same percentage of managers predicted team of workers expansions.

The number one drivers for these hiring plans consist of:

Managing increased work volumes (fifty two%)

Filling newly created positions (forty six%)

Addressing employee turnover (forty three%)

Other key elements include expansion into new markets (33%), obtaining know-how in new areas (30%), and adapting to emerging challenges together with artificial intelligence (22%) and cybersecurity concerns (20%).

Workforce Stability and Minimal Reductions

While many corporations are gearing up for an increase, a considerable component (30%) plan to maintain cutting-edge staff levels in the first half of 2025. This stability aligns carefully with 2024 figures (29%).

Only 6% of hiring managers assume a body of worker reductions, with the main reasons being cost-cutting measures (60 60), business enterprise restructuring (22%), and decreased call for (21%).

Balancing Optimism with Challenges

“There appears to be more optimism in the market after a slowdown from the crazy highs of COVID and post-pandemic pastime,” says Bill Sofio, owner of Express and Specialized Recruiting Group franchises in North Carolina.

John Roller, an Express franchise proprietor in New Hampshire, echoes this sentiment. Businesses are feeling greater assured after years of uncertainty around government rules, demand forecasts, and exertion shortages.

However, challenges stay. Companies hold to face employee shortages, resistance to going back-to-workplace mandates, and pushback against offering decreased wages.
